Evaluation of BLC 125m source fluxes at SPI mask, measured by Monitor DET03 =========================================================================== ** New Analysis ** AWS 5 June 2002 ** Updated ** AWS 19 Sept 2002 Several new factors now included. -fluxes corrected for mask-Ge 1.71 m: factor = 0.973 -energy ranges widened to 20 keV -new IRFs (spi_irf_grp_0011.fits instead of 0007) -spiros results also can be corrected for beam spreading which reduces measured flux by approx. 2.74%. The second value under spiros/monitor includes this effect. -new monitor fluxes from David Attie. New values 4 July 2002: 60Co/1173 keV added spiros 3.3 Effect of IRF and energy range: 60Co 1173 keV run 31 angle=0 old IRF new IRF 1170-1180 1.555 1.704 1163-1183 1.612 1.769 this already gives a 13.7% increase and another 5.4% comes from the two correction factors for mask-Ge distance. Further the monitor fluxes from D. Attie are lower by ~10%, so ratio higher. Total increase= 29%, so spiros/monitor increases from 0.74 to 0.95 in better agreement with GSFC photopeak plot. For 241Am the discrepancy is larger, consistent with GSFC photopeak plot.
